Nintendo Switch Joy-Con
My friend had this black Nintendo Joy-Con that ended up in pretty rough shape. The plastic on the back panel that fastens to the rail had been torn out and the whole connection was completely removed from the shell. Luckily I had a Blue Joy-Con with a bad case of drift that I was holding onto for parts in case something like this came along. What I ended up with is a Frankenstein’s Monster of a controller with a fun color pallet. As far as modern technology goes, the Nintendo Switch is surprisingly friendly for DIY projects (if you don’t mind voiding the warranty). Between its basic ribbon cable connections and only having a few screws, replacing the shell of a Joy-Con is a fun and simple project anyone can do. The only thing to be wary of is the battery, which can be punctured if you aren’t careful around it with sharp objects.
